Dr Wee praised Kojadi for accumulating almost RM400mil in assets

Koperasi Jayadiri Malaysia Berhad (Kojadi) had reached nearly RM400mil in assets as of Dec 31, 2023 says Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong.

“It was a privilege to inaugurate the opening ceremony of this significant event, where we celebrated the achievements and commitment of Kojadi,” wrote the MCA president in a Facebook post on Saturday (June 22).

He said the achievement reflects the cooperative's effective management practices and its role as a competitive force in socio-economic development.

“The cooperative's efforts have earned it the prestigious 2023 National Top 100 Best Cooperative Index Award and climbed from 16th place in 2022 to 15th place in 2023 amongst the 15,600 registered cooperatives in the country,” he said.

Dr Wee said that as of Dec 31, 2023, Kojadi reported a net profit of approximately RM10 million

“In the opening speech of Kojadi's 42nd Annual General Meeting at Wisma MCA this morning, I called on it to continue to increase efforts either in existing business activities or to explore new business activities and potential,” said Dr Wee.

He added that Kojadi Board chairman Senator Datuk Wira Koh Nai Kwong, Malaysian Multipurpose Cooperative Board secretary Law Kok Choy, VTAR College CEO Tan Cheng Liang, and Crowe Malaysia PLT external auditor Tan Guan Sen were also present at the event.

“The cooperative established by MCA is on the right track in benefiting its members as well as the community and the country,” he added.
