Party leadership's Beijing trip discussed at Seremban MCA AGM


PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong spoke at the Seremban MCA division's annual general meeting (AGM) about the party leadership's recent visit to Beijing.

The visit was held in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the bilateral relations between Malaysia and China.

“During the AGM of Seremban MCA division, led by national organising secretary and Seremban division chairman Leaw Kok Chan tonight, I managed to update our members on several current affairs and reported to them about the MCA leadership's recent visit to Beijing, in conjunction with the 50th anniversary of the bilateral relations between Malaysia and China,” said Dr Wee in a Facebook post on Saturday (June 22).

Describing the MCA AGMs as a great avenue for the leaders to interact with party members and grassroots, the MCA president conveyed his hopes that the members would speak up on important public interest issues.

“I hope that our members are able to be the spokespersons and frontliners for the party on important issues to ensure that the welfare and interests of the people are taken care of,” Dr Wee said.

Also in attendance at the Seremban MCA division's AGM, among others, were MCA deputy treasurer-general Adrian Lee, former deputy education minister Datuk Hon Choon Kim, former Negri Sembilan exco Datuk Peter Lai, former Negri Sembilan MCA chairman Siow Koi Voon, Negri Sembilan MCA Youth chief Siow Kong Choon, Negri Sembilan MCA Women chief Loh Siew Ying, Negri Sembilan MCA treasurer Datuk Yit Lee Kok and the rest of the Negri Sembilan MCA leadership.
