A MAN in Tamil Nadu was killed by his daughter-in-law and grandsons over his dead son’s insurance money, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The man, identified only as 65-year-old Perumal, had received a portion of the insurance payout that was disbursed only three days before.

He had lost his son Gurumurthi in an accident about two years ago.

Gurumurthi’s wife Mallika, 38, and sons Malaiyarasan, 21, and Abhibalan, 18, had apparently demanded the money be handed over to them.

This led to an argument and Perumal was attacked and strangled by Mallika and her sons.

Neighbours reported the matter to the police, who arrested the mother and sons.

The shocking attack has stunned the neighbourhood where the family lived.
