Scheduled water supply disruption in Kuantan tomorrow


KUANTAN: Several areas in the district will experience a scheduled water supply disruption from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday (June 25).

Pengurusan Air Pahang Bhd (Paip) Kuantan manager Noor Izwan Bahudin, in a statement on Monday (June 24), said this was to facilitate the repair of irregularities in the installation of the 33kV overhead line at the Panching water treatment plant by Tenaga Nasional Berhad.

The affected areas are Jalan Kuantan Bypass, which includes Permatang Badak, Kampung Pandan, Sungai Isap, Taman Bukit Rangin, Kampung Bukit Rangin, Kampung MPK, Kampung Chendering, Taman Desa Mesra, and surrounding areas.

Other areas include Jalan Kuantan-Gambang, which covers Taman Sepakat, Kampung Batu 3, Tanah Putih, Kampung Razali Batu 3, Kampung Kurnia, Kampung Belukar, Kampung SC, Universiti Islam Pahang Sultan Ahmad Shah, Kampung Air Hitam, Sri Damai, Jaya Gading, Taman Guru, Taman Rasau Perdana, Kampung Teluk Mahang, Taman Tas, Taman Tas Ria, Pandan Damai 2, Pandan Jaya, and Kampung Lubuk Puyu.

Further affected areas are Kampung Seri Fajar, Kampung Mahkota, Taman Seriku, Taman Seri Mahkota Aman, Taman Mahkota Permai, the Batu 10 Camp, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah, Taman Inderapura, Taman Sri Damai Makmur, Taman Indera Sempurna, Inderapura Jaya, Perumahan Prima Penor Utara Jaya, and PP1AM Indera Sempurna.

The water cut will also impact residents in Kampung Seri Melati, Kampung Batu Putih, Kampung Soi, Kampung Kempadang, Kampung Pahang, Taman Berjaya Permai, Kampung Sepat, Kampung Pak Mahat, Bandar Putra, Tanjung Lumpur, Sungai Belat, Kampung Penor, Penjara Penor, Kampung Semangat, Ubai, and Cheruk Paloh.

Felda Panching Timur, Panching Utara, Panching Selatan, Kampung Pasir Kemudi, Kampung Ah Tong, Paya Bungor, Paya Rambutan, Gedung Siam, Semuji Agro Resort, Kampung Gelugur, and Kampung Megat are also expected to experience the water supply disruption.
