Negri college student killed in crash

KUALA PILAH: A 19-year-old Kolej Yayasan Negri Sembilan student was killed after her motorcycle collided with a four-wheel drive (4WD) at KM2 Jalan Kuala Pilah-Batu Kikir near here.

Kuala Pilah OCPD Supt Amran Mohd Gani said the victim died on the spot in the 11.10pm Wednesday (June 26) incident.

"A preliminary probe found that the 4WD was heading towards Kuala Pilah from Batu Kikir when the accident happened.

"The driver had just turned at a junction when the victim, who was believed to have been coming from the opposite direction, crashed into it," he said in a statement on Thursday (June 26).

He said the driver and passengers of the 4WD were unhurt.

Supt Amran said the case is being probed under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
