A STREET beggar in Pakistan has been revealed to be a millionaire, according to Malaysia Nanban.

Shawkath from Punjab is a well-known presence in the streets of Multhan town, begging daily for food and money.

However, it came to light that he owned numerous properties in the nation and had at least 1.7 million rupees (RM28,000) in a bank account.

His children are reportedly going to expensive private schools, and each of them has insurance policies worth millions.

Shawkath has also become something of an influencer, posting about his life on social media.

The man reportedly earns at least 1,000 rupees daily from his street life as a beggar.

It is not clear if he is facing any action by the authorities, as the revelation was apparently made by the country’s revenue collection agency.
