PETALING JAYA: A police report has been lodged over the spread of investigation documents related to a case due to be deliberated in court.

Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Shahrulnizam Jaa'far said in a statement on Thursday (June 27) that a senior police officer lodged the report over the leak at around 12.15pm on the same day.

"The case is being investigated under Section 8 of the Official Secrets Act, Section 203A of the Penal Code, and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.

"The police remind everyone not to be involved in the spread of evidence to avoid speculation that could affect police investigations. Strict action will be taken according to the law," he said.
