Hulu Selangor road B66 reopens following two-year closure

KUALA LUMPUR: The state road B66 from Jalan Batang Kali to Genting, which was closed after the tragic landslide at Father's Organic Farm campsite nearly two years ago, will reopen on Monday (July 1).

In a statement on Sunday (June 30), Hulu Selangor Public Works Department announced that road users can access the route starting from 3pm.

The landslide, which occurred on Dec 16, 2022, claimed 31 lives. The Works Ministry closed the Batang Kali-Genting Highlands road to facilitate slope and road repairs at the landslide site.

In addition, the department also conducted road surfacing work on the route from May 27 to 29.
