PUTRAJAYA: Malaysia Airports and Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (YIDE) will set up a dialysis centre at Sultan Abdul Samad Mosque KLIA for the convenience of the community around the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).
This collaboration is part of Malaysia Airports’ corporate social responsibility programme, MYAirportCARES, and was formalised in a Memorandum of Collaboration signing ceremony at the KLIA Mosque on June 28.
Malaysia Airports (Sepang) senior general manager and KLIA Mosque administrator Mohd Arif Jaafar said the dialysis centre idea was initiated by the Malaysia Airports Zakat Committee.
“As a government-linked company, we are always attentive to the needs of the local community and continually strive to ensure our corporate responsibility initiatives have a significant impact on them.”
“Selangor has the highest number of dialysis patients, with over 1,000 individuals. Establishing the dialysis centre at the KLIA Mosque will help meet patient needs, particularly because only a minimal treatment fee will be charged at this centre,” he said.
