A WOMAN had the shock of her life when a sun bear “visited” her home to join a durian feast in Kemaman, Terengganu, Kosmo! reported.
Kampung Ibok resident Roslina Embong, 56, said the sun bear was spotted about a metre from her house at 7.30pm.
The housewife was switching on the porch lights when she saw a big figure looming near her house.
“I quickly went in and locked the doors as I feared for my safety.
“The bear later climbed over my house fence into my neighbour’s house.
“I believe it came here after smelling the durian scent from my house,” she said.
Another resident, Norsuzila Abdul Rasif, 41, also claimed other Kampung Ibok residents had spotted the same sun bear in the area.

“We hope the sun bear will be caught soon,” she said.
The Terengganu Wildlife and National Park Department director Loo Kean Seong said the department had set traps to catch the animal.
Loo also urged residents to call the department once they see the bear to ease the process of catching the animal.
