Anti-drug agency finds neglected boy in garbage-filled house

A FOUR-YEAR-OLD boy was found living in a house overrun by garbage in Kelantan, reported Metro Ahad.

The National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK), which uncovered the distressing scene, said that the child was neglected by his mother and her 18-year-old son, who were also living in the same house.

While doing community work in Kelantan, they found the house after hearing the cries of a child.

“Upon inspecting the unlocked house, we were shocked to find every corner, including the kitchen, filled with piles of garbage,” said an AADK spokesman.

The child was found sleeping near the piles of rubbish.

“Further investigation revealed that the child’s older brother is a drug addict.

“Their mother, on the other hand, is suffering from depression due to divorce,” he said.

In a TikTok video shared by one of AADK’s members, @shanizam9910, showed the entire floor of the house covered in rubbish. There was hardly any space to walk.

AADK then contacted the Social Welfare Department, which took the child for care and treatment.
