KUALA LUMPUR may be the setting of the next movie in the New Police Story series after one of its main stars expressed interest to film a scene abseiling down the PETRONAS Twin Towers, reported Sin Chew Daily.

Hong Kong superstar Nicholas Tse (pic), who was in Malaysia on a press tour, recalled fondly a scene in the movie Entrapment, where actor Sean Connery’s character was escaping from the iconic landmark.

“If the Malaysian government permits me to scale the PETRONAS Twin Towers, I will personally jump off it myself!

“I really hope we get to have this scene,” he said.

Tse, however, added that the setting of the film has yet to be finalised.

The last instalment of the New Police Story went on the big screens in 2004 and featured a star-studded cast, including Jackie Chan, Charlene Choi and Tse, who played the main antagonist Joe Kwan.

The upcoming movie, which is expected to be released in 2025, will feature Kwan’s revenge following his release from prison.

> Hong Kong superstar Chow Yun-fat sparked worry among fans after he was spotted with multiple large bumps on his shoulders and arms, reported Sin Chew Daily.

The 69-year-old, who is an avid runner, would often stop for selfies with fans whenever he goes out.

In a recent photo, fans noticed bumps the size of ping pong balls on his upper torso.

This triggered alarm among fans, with many speculating on Chow’s condition.

“They look so scary!” one fan wrote.

Fan diagnoses ranged from harmless varicose veins to serious diseases such as a malignant tumour.

However, some Internet users surmised that Chow is rich enough to afford the best medical care and would have had them checked.

Despite being one of the most recognisable Hong Kong actors globally, Chow is known to be down-to-earth and approachable with fans and would often be seen on public transport and shopping for groceries at the market.

He is best known for his roles as Sao Feng in Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End and Li Mu-bai in Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
