Malaysian-born soldier promoted in US Army


PETALING JAYA: A Malaysian-born soldier has been promoted to a Major rank in the US Army, in a post by the US Embassy in Kuala Lumpur.

The news was shared by the embassy in a Facebook post on Tuesday (July 16).

“Congratulations to Malaysian-American Major Lim on your promotion in the US Army!

“This achievement underscores your professionalism, dedication, and service, and it strengthens the bond between the United States and Malaysia.

“All your hardwork and dedication is an inspiration to all of us,” the post read.

The social media post also featured Major Lim with his parents who are seen putting on the stars to Major Lim’s uniform.
