Selangor Sultan admitted to hospital for eye surgery


KLANG: Selangor Ruler Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has been admitted to hospital to undergo cataract surgery on his right eye.

An entry in the Selangor Royal Office’s Facebook Timeline, said that physicians have also advised Sultan Sharafuddin to undergo a full medical check-up while in hospital.

Apparently, the cataract surgery had been postponed for the last eight months and Sultan Sharafuddin had already had cataract removal surgery on the left eye prior to this.

His Royal Highness is expected to be on a ten-day recuperation following the procedure.
