KUALA LUMPUR: The three people, including a suspended policewoman, will be called in for statements by the end of the week over a report lodged by the mother of the late Hindu activist, Rajeswary Appahu.
Sentul police chief Asst Comm Ahmad Sukarno Mohd Zahari confirmed the matter when contacted.
"Yes they will be called in (for statements) this week," he said.
Previously, Sentul OCPD Ahmad Sukarno said that the three would be summoned by the police following the report lodged by Rajeswary's mother.
Puspa Rajagopal, 56, had previously filed reports against several people, stating that they had been confusing the public by discussing the case on social media and were talking badly about her daughter Rajeswary, also known as Esha.
Rajeswary had fallen victim to harassment by a group of people well known for their alleged thuggery on TikTok.
The group, comprising men and women, allegedly carry out their bullying antics both online and offline.
On July 4, Rajeswary had lodged a police report over threats made against her before her death.
The 30-year-old activist named two individuals in her report lodged at the Dang Wangi police station, alleging they were cyberbullying her on social media.
Rajeswary was found dead in her apartment a day after she lodged the report.
Earlier on Tuesday (July 16), two people pleaded guilty to communications offences linked to Rajeswary's death.
Lorry driver B. Sathiskumar pleaded guilty to a charge of posting lewd comments on TikTok using the profile "@dulal_brothers_360" with the intention to annoy others at 10.12pm on June 30.
Shalini Periasamy, 35, an owner of a private psychiatric care nursing home, pleaded guilty to deliberately uttering vulgarities with the intention to incite anger and disturb peace through her TikTok account, "alphaquinnsha," at around 4.10am on July 1.
