ACTRESS and singer Kilafairy still feels the loss of her mother Rohana Jalil who passed away more than a year ago, reported Berita Harian.

She said she declined to act in a drama series that takes place at a hospital following her mother’s death.

“I took care of mama when she was in hospital for three months. I just don’t want the sad moment to come back.

“There were too many segments in the drama that takes place in a hospital that I just couldn’t do it.

“I think this feeling of sadness will stay with me always,” she said, adding that she will act in another drama.

The late Rohana, who was a popular singer in the 1980s, passed away on June 20 last year.

> Harian Metro reported about a man who spent RM80,000 to restore a dilapidated bus.

Mat Samion Mat Desa, 49, from Bandar Saujana Putra in Kuala Langat, Selangor, said he paid RM55,000 to buy the bus and the rest was used to repaint and repair it.

He added that he bought the used tour bus from a friend in Mambau.

“From the outside, the bus looked bad as it was exposed to the elements, but it was roadworthy.

“It took about a month to restore the bus, but I’m happy with the end result,” he said, adding that he managed to get the bus inspected with Puspakom.

The daily said it was not a surprise that Mat Samion had restored the bus as he was a former bus driver who lost his income during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“I used to have two buses and two school vans, but all of them have been sold as I could not work due to the movement control order,” he said, adding that he sold nasi lemak to make a living after that.

Mat Samion said he decided to buy and restore the bus as he loved driving buses.
