Six, including three cops, detained over missing aviation fuel

SHAH ALAM: Six men, including three lower-ranked police personnel, were detained in connection with missing aviation fuel at the Police Air Wing Unit (PGU) airbase in Subang.

Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said the police received a report over missing Kerosene Jet-A1 aviation fuel on Monday (July 15).

"The Selangor Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) opened an investigation paper under Section 409 of the Penal Code for Criminal Breach of Trust," he said in a statement on Thursday (July 18).

An investigation led to the arrests of six men aged between 31 and 55 years old on Tuesday (July 16), he said.

"Three of those arrested were lower-ranked police personnel, who were stationed at the airbase.

"All six men have been remanded until July 23," he said.

Comm Hussein said the police will not compromise in taking action based on the law, even if it involved police personnel or officers.
