Father arrested for rape after disabled 13-year-old gives birth in Dungun

DUNGUN: A 45-year-old man's heinous acts of repeatedly raping his 13-year-old disabled daughter came to light after she gave birth.

According to Sinar Harian, Dungun OCPD Supt Maizura Abdul Kadir said that the pregnancy was discovered when the girl sought treatment for stomach pain at a local clinic.

"Following the clinic's shocking discovery, she was transferred to Dungun Hospital where she delivered a baby at approximately 7pm," said Supt Maizura on Sunday (July 22).

Initial investigation indicated that the abuse began when the girl was 12.

The suspect, a labourer with a history of drug-related offences, is being investigated under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape.
