Car, three motorcycles razed in fire at Kg Baru PKNS flats

KUALA LUMPUR: Four vehicles were destroyed in a fire at the Kampung Baru PKNS flats on Wednesday (July 24), reports Malay language daily Sinar Harian.

Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue Department operations commander Mohd Azrol Md Zenan said that an emergency call was received by the Kuala Lumpur Operations Centre at 10.43pm Wednesday.

"A team from the Titiwangsa Fire and Rescue Station was dispatched to the scene.

"Upon arrival, it was found that the fire involved a car and three motorcycles," Sinar Harian reported him as saying in a statement Thursday (July 25).

He added that the fire was fully extinguished at 11.25pm using two hose reel lines.

He further mentioned that the damage was estimated to be 100%, but there were no casualties.

"The cause of the fire is still under investigation," he stated.
