HULU SELANGOR: The family of murder victim Nur Farah Kartini Abdullah hopes the legal process will run smoothly.
Her cousin Suzursofia Smeth Jaya,33, said so far the family is satisfied with the police investigation and subsequent prosecution of the suspect.
"We hope the legal process will run smoothly to ensure justice for Nur Farah (Kartini)," she said when met outside Kuala Kubu Bharu Magistrate's Court on Friday (July 26).
Suzursofia said Nur Farah Kartini's other family members will be present for the mention of the case on Aug 30.
"We are thankful for the efforts of the police and prosecution so far," she said.
Earlier the suspect, Muhammad Alif Monjani, 26, was charged for the murder of Nur Farah Kartini at the Kuala Kubu Bharu Magistrate's Court.
He arrived at the court at about 9.05am.

Clad in a black collared shirt, Muhammad Alif was heavily guarded by police as he was escorted to the court complex.
It was reported that investigators have searched for evidence in various locations, including at Kampung Sri Keledang in Hulu Selangor, Sungai Trolak, in Kampung Batu, Perak and a tapioca farm in Slim River.
Various items belonging to Nur Farah Kartini have been recovered, including her mobile phone and a handbag as well as the suspect's sim card.
Police also believed the location in Kampung Sri Keledang is the prime crime scene and the act was committed by one perpetrator.
It was reported that the victim's body was found at a palm oil plantation in Kampung Sri Keledang, Hulu Selangor on July 15.
Nur Farah Kartini was reported missing in Tanjung Malim, Perak, on July 11.
She was reported missing after sending a rental car to a customer at Taman Universiti, Tanjung Malim.
A policeman, believed to be her boyfriend, has since been detained and remanded for seven days.
The case is classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
