PJ hostel fire sees one person hospitalised


PETALING JAYA: A fire at a hostel led to one person being sent to the hospital for breathing difficulties.

Selangor Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (Operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mokhtar, when contacted, said that the fire on Friday (July 26) occurred at Jalan Kenari 6 in Bandar Puchong Jaya.

At the scene, firefighters found that the third floor of the hostel had completely burnt down.

Two cars were also lightly damaged by the fire.

The fire affected a total of 14 people, with one suffering from breathing difficulties.

"She has been handed over to the Health Ministry officials," he said.
