Teen killed after falling 20 storeys from Setapak shopping mall


KUALA LUMPUR: Tragedy struck a Kuala Lumpur shopping mall in Setapak on Thursday (July 25) when a 16-year-old boy died after a fall from the 20th floor of the building.

According to Sinar Harian, Wangsa Maju OCPD Asst Comm Mohammad Lazim Ismail, reported that the incident was first brought to their attention at 8.39pm.

"The victim, a local male teenager and a student at a school, was confirmed dead at the scene by medical personnel," he stated in a press release on Friday (July 26).

Later, the body was transported to the Hospital Kuala Lumpur for an autopsy.

ACP Lazim said the case has classified the case as sudden death (SDR).
