Five secondary school students arrested for allegedly beating up schoolmate in Ipoh


IPOH: A Form One student sustained injuries after he was beaten up by several other older students at a school here.

Perak police chief Comm Datuk Azizi Mat Aris said a report was made on July 24.

He said the victim claimed several Form Four and Form Five students had beaten him up at a secondary school here.

“The victim sustained injuries on several parts of his body and had received outpatient treatment at the Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital.

“Based on information, five male students aged between 16 and 17, were arrested today (July 29) to help in the investigations.

“We will be conducting further investigations to determine the cause of the fight, and also trace other suspects involved in the case.

“We are still investigating, and the statements of the suspects will be recorded,” he said.
