ONE of the key witnesses in the murder case involving the death of National Defence University Malaysia (UPNM) student Cadet Officer Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarnain has spoken out against allegations that his alma mater produces “murderers”.
Harian Metro reported that Lt Muhammad Aiman Aufa Asmadi Affendi, who was the student who wrote an anonymous letter seeking help to save Zulfarhan, defended the university on Instagram.
“If UPNM really produced murderers, it would be inconceivable for seniors and juniors to casually sit and share meals together. I still keep in contact with my UPNM seniors,” said Muhammad Aiman.
He also said the alumni and the administration of the university should defend itself by spreading the truth and positivity, as well as making a stand against cyberbullying.
Last week, the Court of Appeal reinstated Section 302 of the Penal Code against six former UPNM cadets for their involvement in Zulfarhan’s murder in 2017.
> Actor Ben Amir’s recent post in which he is hugging a dog has stirred discontent among some social media users.
Kosmo! reported that Ben Amir, whose real name is Muhammad Amir Sabaruddin, 34, explained that the dog had been his guardian throughout an ongoing solo trek to the Everest Base Camp in Nepal.
“This dog looked after us and helped ensure that our paths were safe.
“Do you know there are snow leopards here? I care about this dog because it protected us, but you (the netizens) are fixated on condemning it senselessly,” he said.
