Finance Ministry warns of false WhatsApp claims about civil servant salary raise


KUALA LUMPUR: The Finance Ministry denies issuing any message on WhatsApp regarding a salary increase for civil servants on July 25, stressing that the message is false.

The ministry, through its social media accounts, advised the public to be cautious and not to be easily deceived by such news.

"Visit the Finance Ministry's official portal and follow its official social media channels for the latest verified information," it said.

Previously, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim announced a salary increase for civil servants of more than 13% starting this December. – Bernama
