AWARD-WINNING travel agency Apple Vacations has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Malaysia Airlines to offer new charter flights to Hokkaido and Tohoku in Japan, as well as China’s Harbin and Urumqi.

Representing Apple Vacations were group executive chairman Datuk Seri Lee Ee Hoe and group managing director Datuk Seri Koh Yock Heng; while Malaysia Airlines was led by chief commercial officer of airlines business Dersenish Aresandiran, and network airlines scheduling and charter airlines business head Dharma Dave Mohd Logan.

This signing not only formalised their continued collaboration but also celebrated their successful 12-year partnership.

Apple Vacations’ charter flight tours – now in its 13th year, have been well received by travellers as these flights have saved both time and money, while fulfilling dream vacations.

In 2023, the travel agency partnered with Malaysia Airlines to introduce new charter flight packages to the Tohoku region of Japan, allowing Malaysians to experience the beauty of Japanese culture and a unique winter firsthand.

As Malaysian visa-free travel to China picks up in 2024, Apple Vacations looks set to repeat its success with the launch of new charter flight tours to Xinjiang.

Proving to be an instant hit, seats to Xinjiang for Sept 13, 21, 29 and Oct 7 are fully booked. An extra departure date on Sept 5 has also been filling up fast with limited seats left.

Additionally, Apple Vacations' lineup includes nine charter flight tours to Tohoku and Hokkaido, along with their 2025 Chinese New Year Harbin charter flights. Together, these 15 flights will transport up to 4,305 vacationers during the end-of-year season.

Over the past 12 years, Apple Vacations has forged a strong partnership with Malaysia Airlines, collaborating to offer more than 89 charter flight services that have transported thousands of travellers to their dream destinations, bypassing the need for transfer flights.

Meanwhile, travellers have enjoyed Malaysia Airlines' premium cabin service and signature hospitality. The 15 charter flights scheduled for this end-of-year period are a direct result of the long-standing, successful collaboration and thorough preparation between both parties.
