A MOTHER from Shah Alam took a drastic step by bringing her seven-year-old son to a police station after she was fed up with his constant misbehaviour at school.

The 42-year-old housewife said she wanted to teach her son a lesson as he kept on disturbing his schoolmates despite being reprimanded repeatedly by teachers.

“As a mother, I want the best for my child. I feel this is the best way for him to learn and not repeat his mistakes,” she said, reported Sinar Harian.

The woman said that she often advised her son to be mindful of his behaviour, but her words have fallen on deaf ears.

“One day, it went too far when his friend fell and hit his forehead against the corner of a table.

“That is why I took him to the nearest police station to teach him a lesson,” said the mother.

The woman said the police played along when her son was brought to the police station.

“When we arrived at the police station, I told the officers to ‘arrest’ my son. They cooperated to make it happen,” she said.

The “lesson” seems to have worked as according to the mother, her son no longer misbehaves or disturbs his classmates after the incident.

> Despite being divorced, actor and comedian Harith Iskander still maintains a cordial relationship with his ex-wife Dr Jezamine Lim.

He said divorce is not a barrier to continue working together and fulfilling their responsibilities as parents to their children.

“We still go on vacations together. If I feel lonely, I can contact my ex-wife. Only other people find it strange to see us getting along well despite being divorced.

“Life after divorce is still the same, we just need to take new steps and try to learn to walk again,” said Harith, Berita Harian reported.

Harith and Jezamine ended their 14-year marriage on July 25 at the Federal Territories Lower Syariah Court due to irreconcilable differences.

The former couple, who tied the knot on June 12, 2010, have three children together.
