LHDN's MyInvois system now functioning smoothly, says Deputy Finance Minister

GEORGE TOWN: The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) MyInvois online system is now functioning smoothly, says Deputy Finance Minister Lim Hui Ying.

She said that while there were initial technical difficulties to overcome, users have not faced any technical problems.

"Some users might have had to begin their registration again, but the system is currently stable," she said after attending the National Month and Jalur Gemilang ceremony at Sekolah Kebangsaan Perempuan Island on Monday (August 5).

The Tanjong MP then said that any launch issues were resolved after users resubmitted their details successfully.

She added that the IRB team is monitoring the system continuously and is ready to respond around the clock to ensure it operates without hitches.

As of 8am on Monday (August 5), over 1.4 million submissions have been received by the IRB.

"We value user feedback and are always looking to make improvements," she said.

She added that she anticipates an increase in submissions as more companies start using the system.

Lim then said that for the first six months, e-invoice submission is optional to allow time for companies to adapt.

She encouraged all users to trust the system and give it a go, reassuring them that any issues they encounter should be manageable.

The first phase of e-invoicing began on August 1, involving approximately 5,000 companies with annual turnovers exceeding RM100mil.

Phase 2 is set to commence on January 1 next year for companies earning below RM100mil to RM25mil.

By July 1, 2025, all other taxpayers, including hawkers, petty traders, and micro, small and medium enterprises, are expected to join, except those with annual turnovers under RM150,000.
