Three shops razed in Teluk Intan fire


IPOH: Fire destroyed a row of three shops in front of Grand Court Hotel, Jalan Maharajalela in Teluk Intan early Tuesday (Aug 6).

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director (operation) Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said firefighters arrived at the scene 12 minutes after receiving a distress call at 4.20am Tuesday.

There were no casualties in the fire which caused 90% damage to a motorcycle workshop, a food shop and a car paint workshop, he said in a statement Tuesday.

He said the firefighting operation ended at 6.39am. - Bernama
