Anwar congratulates Asia Education Medal 2024 finalist

KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim conveyed his congratulations to LeapEd Services Sdn Bhd chairman Shahnaz Al-Sadat, who has been selected as one of the 10 finalists of the Asia Education Medal 2024.

"May this achievement spur you and other educators to continue to develop the education system in Malaysia,” Anwar posted on X on Wednesday (Aug 7).

According to LeapEd Services Sdn Bhd’s website, the company headed by Shahnaz is a social enterprise focused on education transformation programmes, in line with the Malaysian Education Development Plan 2013-2025 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

A check on the T4 Education website revealed that the Asia Education Medal is one of three World Education Medals founded by T4 Education and HP, the other two being the African Education Medal and the LatAm Education Medal.

"It celebrates leaders from all parts of the continent who are working every day to give the next generation the opportunities they deserve through the best education possible,” the website said. – Bernama
