Roadworks on Besraya Highway from Aug 1 to Oct 31

KUALA LUMPUR: Besraya (M) Sdn Bhd will conduct scheduled road maintenance works along the Sungai Besi Highway (Besraya) from Aug 1 to Oct 31.

In a statement, the highway concession company said that maintenance works were being carried out in stages between KM0.1 and KM21.9; KMB0.0 and KMB0.8; KMS0.0 and KMS2.2; and KMP0.0 and KMP3.3, involving both directions of the highway.

IJM toll division chief executive Wan Salwani Wan Yusoff said the maintenance works, which include paving and road markings, would take place from 10pm to 6am throughout the period.

"However, the road pavement upgrading works using concrete will involve two U-turns, namely the Balakong Ramp A elevated interchange and the Salak Jaya Interchange at KM15.2 towards the city centre, from Sept 1 to Dec 31.

"Motorists coming from Balakong who wish to make a U-turn are advised to use the Jalan Dulang traffic light intersection," she said on Friday (Aug 9).

The statement also said that traffic information and lane closures will be continuously updated through electronic signs along the highway and users are advised to follow the instructions.

Besraya apologises for the inconvenience and thanks highway users for their cooperation. For queries, users can contact Besline at 1-800 88 0999. – Bernama
