Four nabbed after car chase in Kajang


KAJANG: Police fired five shots at a car during a chase on Saturday (Aug 10) morning.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said two vehicles were being driven in an aggressive manner before one collided into a police vehicle on Jalan Pekan Batu 11.

The police were on patrol during an operation to weed out cable theft activities.

“Five shots were fired at the tyres of the vehicle that collided into the police car.

"The police successfully arrested four suspects aged between 28 and 36 years old and checks showed that they have criminal and drug related offences. Two vehicles and equipment used for stealing the cables were also found.

"No loss of life or injuries were reported in the incident," he said in a statement today.

The case is being investigated for attempted cable theft and attempted murder.
