Rafizi accepts Wan Ahmad Fayhsal's debate challenge, but says topic should be on 'printing money'

PETALING JAYA: Rafizi Ramli has accepted Machang MP Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal's challenge to a debate.

However, the Economy Minister said, in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), that the proposed topic should be the impact of printing money to stimulate the economy.

"Because this is the most 'brilliant' economic idea ever proposed by Perikatan Nasional.

"Although this live debate incurs significant costs for the organisers (airtime, etc), for the sake of Malaysia's economy, I am willing to discuss with RTM, Astro, and others," he said in his post late Friday night (Aug 9).

Earlier, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal, also in a post on X, had challenged Rafizi to debate issues concerning Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB), Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), and BlackRock.

Last year, Rafizi engaged in a debate Bachok MP Mohd Syahir Che Sulaiman, who questioned why Kelantan remained one of the poorest states, alleging federal neglect.
