Manhunt on for ‘Rambo knife’ culprit


PETALING JAYA: Police have identified the man who attacked two women with a “Rambo knife” near a religious school in Kelana Jaya and are tracking him down.

OCPD Asst Comm Shahrulnizam Ja’afar said they had obtained CCTV footage from a house located near the crime scene.

“It showed the car used by the suspect leaving the area after the incident.

“We have gathered actionable intelligence to track down and arrest him,” he said when contacted.

ACP Shahrulnizam said police have also recorded the statements from seven people to assist in the case.

“We are still investigating the motive behind the attack.”

ACP Shahrulnizam said one of the victims – a headmistress – has been discharged from the hospital.“She has already come to the police district station to assist with the investigation while the other victim is still receiving treatment at Hospital Shah Alam.

“So far, we have established that the two victims did not know their assailant,” he said.
