Child, woman killed in road accident in Perak


IPOH: Two people were killed when the car they were in hit a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) at Jalan Kuala Kangsar-Manong.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant operations director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said another girl who was seated at the back seat sustained injuries.

“A woman and a girl who were seated at the front seat died in the accident that happened at around 7.36am on Thursday (Aug 15). The driver of the MPV did not sustain any injuries,” he said.

He said both the woman and the girl who were killed were pinned in their seats and died at the scene.

“The girl that sustained injuries has been sent to the hospital for treatment,” he added.
