SOPHIA Albarakbah has admitted to being a victim of cyberbullying and is currently gathering evidence to take legal action against social media users who sent her extreme and offensive content, reported Harian Metro.

The actress said that previously, she would just block all the accounts of disrespectful users, but now she will take the matter seriously.

“I am collecting all the evidence – the direct messages and harsh comments like insults and offensive remarks.

“All of this will be taken as evidence so I can take the next course of action.

“It is up to all of you if you want to keep doing this. I have collected a lot of evidence,” the 31-year-old warned.

The government is in the midst of criminalising cyberbullying and plans to hold social media platforms liable for such behaviours.

> Popular singer Datuk Nora Ariffin, 51, has appealed to the public not to criticise her ex-husband, Dr Rushdi Ramli, who recorded a video declaring their divorce allegedly under duress, reported Kosmo!.

Nora clarified that the video was merely evidence of their divorce, though no reasons were given for their split.

“Ustaz (Rushdi) is not guilty. He was just following instructions.

“My husband was made to divorce me without a reason,” she said in a post on her Instagram Story yesterday.

Nora, however, did not explain her situation further, fuelling talk that Rushdi had divorced her against his will.

In September last year, she quashed talk that her marriage to the senior lecturer at the Fiqh and Usul Department of Universiti Malaya was on the rocks.

The singer, famed for her hit Di Persimpangan Dilema, expressed shock over her divorce.

“I find comfort in knowing that God is with me and my children,” she said, while the video recording has received a mixed reaction from netizens.

Nora announced her marriage to Rushdi in 2021 but without providing any details about it.

She also shared that Rushdi was a good friend of her first husband, the late composer Johan Nawawi.

Nora and Johan were married in 1992 and they have four children. Johan died of a heart attack in 2017, aged 52.
