Taiwan recognised as International Favourite Destination at MATTA Fair

Taipei, the capital city of Taiwan, is a vibrant hub of culture and modernity.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) has named Taiwan as the "International Favourite Destination" during the MATTA Fair, taking place from Sept 6 to 8, at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (Mitec) here.

This recognition highlights Taiwan’s continuous efforts in promoting its great attractions and exciting travel experiences to the Malaysian holiday seekers and travellers.

The country’s largest travel and tourism fair will feature numerous international exhibitors from various countries, promoting new destinations and showcasing exciting attractions to visitors.

This year’s event is expected to attract thousands of visitors, eager to discover new travel opportunities and destinations.

Taiwan Tourism Administration Kuala Lumpur office director Abe Chou stated that to further expand and attract the Muslim travel market to Taiwan, a dedicated ‘Salam Taiwan Pavilion’ on Level 2, Booth No: 2H13, will prominently showcase Taiwan’s Muslim-friendly travel and holiday offerings. The pavilion will feature 10 specialised travel agencies promoting and selling Muslim-friendly tour packages, aimed at boosting Muslim travellers' confidence in choosing Taiwan as their next holiday destination.

MATTA offers complimentary shuttle services to and from Mitec, departing from KL Sentral and Sunway Putra Mall.
