Church official claims trial to sexually assaulting 13yo boy


SHAH ALAM: A church official pleaded not guilty in the Sessions Court here Friday (Aug 16) to two counts of committing physical sexual assault on a 13-year-old boy two months ago.

B. Moses Melchizedek, 27, entered the plea before Sessions judge Rasyihah Ghazali.

Both offences were allegedly committed at a church in Bandar Bukit Puchong, Puchong, between 5pm and 7pm on a day in June.

The charges were framed under Sections 14(a) and 14(b) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 respectively, which provide for imprisonment of up to 20 years and whipping if convicted.

The court allowed the accused bail of RM15,000 for both charges and also ordered him to report to the nearest police station every month, as well as not to approach the victim and witnesses.

DPP Siti Nabilah Abd Rashid appeared for the prosecution while the accused was represented by Datuk N. Sivananthan.
