Cops search for driver of foreign registered vehicle caught driving against traffic in Johor


JOHOR BARU: Police are searching for the driver of a foreign registered car caught on video driving against traffic on the Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) here.

Johor Baru South OCPD Asst Comm Raub Selamat said police came across the video, which went viral online, at around 5.19pm on Friday (Aug 16).

“The video recorded a white car with a foreign registration number going against traffic flow on the EDL heading towards Pandan.

“Initial investigation found that the incident occurred at around 12.30am in the early hours of Friday morning. Efforts are underway to find the vehicle’s driver,” he said here on Friday night.

ACP Raub added that the case was being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 and urged anyone with information to contact the Johor Baru South police hotline at 07-2182222.
