Nenggiri: Voter turnout at 58.79% as of 1pm, says EC


GUA MUSANG: The voter turnout for the Nenggiri by-election as of 1pm is at 58.79%, according to the Election Commission (EC).

Meanwhile, Kelantan police said that so far 18 police reports have been lodged related to the polls, with six investigation papers opened.

Barisan Nasional (BN) candidate Mohd Azmawi Fikri Abdul Ghani, 38, is up against PAS candidate Mohd Rizwadi Ismail, 41.

The Nenggiri by-election was called following the vacancy of the seat, as announced by Kelantan State Assembly Speaker Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah on June 19, after the former incumbent, Mohd Azizi Abu Naim lost his Bersatu membership on June 13.
