Borrowed motorcycle leads to stabbing

KAJANG: A misunderstanding led to a man being stabbed by his friend at an apartment in Semenyih.

Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Naazron Abdul Yusof said police received information on the incident at about 2.50pm on Saturday.

“During a meeting at the home of the victim’s sister, the suspect took a knife from the kitchen and stabbed the victim after he was scolded,” he said in a statement yesterday.

ACP Naazron said the incident was caused by the suspect, in his 30s, failing to return the 23-year-old victim’s motorcycle that he had borrowed last month.

“The victim was sent to Hospital Kajang for treatment and checks revealed he had stab wounds at the back of his waist and on his left shoulder.

“He is currently conscious and stable but still receiving treatment. We are tracking down the suspect,” he said.

“We urge those with information on the incident to contact investigating officer Insp Mohamad Faeez Norzah at 013-2773407 or their nearest police station to assist with the investigation,” he added.
