KUANTAN: The Private Secretary to Tengku Mahkota Pahang Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah has lodged a police report against Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin for bringing up issues related to religion, royalty, and race (3R) while campaigning during the Nenggiri by-election recently.
Amir Syaffiq Hamzah said that the report was made after viewing a video recording on YouTube uploaded by an account holder while at Istana Abdulaziz on Friday (Aug 16).

He said, in his report, that the Perikatan Nasional chairman's statement was dangerous as it blatantly incited the public to lose trust in the institution of the Malay Rulers and to divide the people.
"It is also defamatory and seditious, besides touching on the sensitive 3R issues. Moreover, the statement clearly tarnishes the good name of the Sultan of Pahang, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah," he said.
The report was filed at the Kuantan district police headquarters on Sunday night (Aug 18).
Amir Syaffiq said that in the recording, Muhyiddin allegedly mentioned that the 16th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah, had not invited him to be sworn in as prime minister and claimed to have the support of 115 MPs at the time.
"In the excerpt from the speech, he (Muhyiddin) seems to suggest that Al-Sultan Abdullah failed to respect the federal Constitution by not appointing him as Prime Minister," he said in his report.
Earlier, Tengku Hassanal said he wanted the police to take stern action without compromise on Muhyiddin who had deliberately touched on race, religion and royalty (3R).
Pahang police chief Comm Datuk Seri Yahaya Othman said police had received 28 reports against Muhyiddin as of Sunday.
Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, who is also Pahang Mentri Besar, had also expressed his disappointment over Muhyiddin’s speech in a Facebook post on Saturday (Aug 17) and urged the authorities to act against the Pagoh MP.- Bernama
