Suspected robber shot dead by cops in Bandar Sunway


KUALA LUMPUR: The police have confirmed that a shooting incident occurred in Bandar Sunway near here on Tuesday afternoon (Aug 20).

Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat told Bernama that Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan will share further details of the incident soon.

Hussein Omar when contacted by Bernama later said that a suspect involved in several robberies was shot dead in the PJS area, Petaling Jaya.

He added that the incident occurred at about 7pm on Monday and involved an investigation team from Bukit Aman.

"The man, believed to be a foreigner from Africa, was suspected of being involved in several robbery cases," he said. – Bernama
