Woman killed after her vehicle turns turtle near Taiping


IPOH: A woman was killed after the four-wheel drive vehicle she was in lost control and overturned at KM256 southbound of the West Coast Expressway near Trong in Taiping.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department assistant director of operations Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the woman, a passenger in the vehicle, was thrown out during the incident on Tuesday (Aug 20) at about 11.05am.

"The deceased was confirmed to have died on the spot by Health Ministry personnel.

"The driver of the vehicle is safe but suffered some light injuries," he said in a statement.

"The victim has been handed over to the police for the next course of action while the driver was given treatment," he added.
