Fire razes three houses in Sungai Siput


IPOH: Three houses in a new village in Sungai Siput were destroyed by a fire on Tuesday night (August 20).

Firemen from Sungai Siput assisted by their counterparts from Kuala Kangsar, rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call at 10.27pm on Tuesday (Aug 20).

According to a Perak Fire and Rescue Department statement, no casualties were reported during the incident at Kampung Baru Sungai Buloh.

The three homes suffered damage between 10% and 90%, and the fire also damaged two motorcycles.

“Fortunately, no one was injured,” the department said.

The fire was brought under control at 10.48pm and put out completely at 1.39am.
