Kuantan housewife murder: Remand extended for four family members

KUANTAN: Four family members of a woman who was found dead with strangulation marks at her home in Indera Mahkota have had their remand extended until next Wednesday (Aug 28).

Kuantan OCPD Asst Comm Wan Mohd Zahari Wan Busu said the remand period for the three men and one woman, aged from 27 to 62 years old, had been extended by seven days to facilitate investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

ACP Wan Mohd Zahari previously said that the 28-year-old housewife was found unconscious in her bedroom by her husband at around 7.30pm on Aug 14.

He said the victim lived with her husband, a Chinese national working as a factory supervisor, their three-year-old son, and an eight-year-old sister-in-law.

The victim is believed to have been strangled to death in the house, leading to the arrest of four individuals to aid in the investigation. – Bernama
