KUALA LUMPUR: The eldest son of the victim, who was swallowed by the sudden appearance of a sinkhole just opposite Masjid India, here on Friday has pleaded with the SAR team to save his mother.

Soon after seeing the gravity of the situation, the son who had just arrived from Thailand started to cry his heart out.

"Please save my mother. Save her," he cried loudly.

The family were left distraught, worried and sad as they anxiously awaited the discovery of an Indian national woman, identified as Vijayalaksmi, 48 who was swallowed by the sudden appearance of a sinkhole just opposite Masjid India, here on Friday.

The woman's husband clad in a green shirt and a group of ladies in sarees are sitting near the site of the incident for some good news.

They can be heard asking the authorities if the woman will ever be found.

Their eyes filled with tears.

When approached the group of ladies, one of them said it all happened within seconds.
