Woman falls into the ocean

KOTA KINABALU: A 34-year-old woman suffered a seizure and fell into the sea through a hole in the floor of her home at a water village in Sabah’s east coast Sandakan district.

It happened off Jalan Buli, Sim-Sim, at about 10am yesterday.

“Family members managed to retrieve her from the water before we arrived.”

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said, adding that the team then carried the woman to land with the help of villagers.
