THE Hulu Langat district-level kabaddi competition among Tamil schools saw two Malay primary schools take part as invited teams, Malaysia Nanban reported.

The event, which was coordinated by SJK(T) Ampang, saw 250 pupils from 15 Tamil schools and two Malay schools participate in the boys and girls categories.

MIC central working committee member K. Sathasivam said the sport should be expanded to the state and national level, and include all schools.

He said making it an annual event would boost the traditional Indian team sport’s popularity.

One of his sisters said Sanjay was a “troublemaker” and the family would not accept his remains if he were to be hanged for the heinous crime.
