Good economic progress enables various plans to be implemented, says Ramanan

KUALA LUMPUR: The country's good economic progress has enabled the Unity Government to implement various plans and programmes for the well-being of the people, says Deputy Minister of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Datuk R. Ramanan.

In a post on his Facebook page on Sunday (Aug 25), the Member of Parliament for Sungai Buloh said that he will also ensure that the residents of his constituency benefit from the development in the area.

"The Unity Government has placed the country on a path of better and brighter economic progress. I will ensure the best for the residents of Sungai Buloh. That is my priority as the Member of Parliament for this constituency," he said.

In the post, he said that he had met with community representatives and leaders from the Unity Government component parties for meet-and-greet sessions in conjunction with the National Month.

"In conjunction with National Month, let us all embrace the values of independence for the sake of peace, well-being, prosperity and stability of our beloved nation," he said.

He also stressed that national unity is Malaysia’s strength and uniqueness and urged that the 3R issues involving race, religion, and royalty should not be exploited by any party.

"Do not use race and religious sentiments as political capital. Don’t twist facts for self-interest to gain political capital," he said. - Bernama
